A hidden gem for quiet getaways. We stayed at Foragers Rest for three nights and left feeling truly refreshed. Nestled in peaceful countryside just a short drive from the Broads, the site is beautifully kept and maintained but never fussy—exactly what we wanted. The pitches are well-spaced, giving real privacy, and the facilities are clean, simple, and thoughtfully maintained. We loved waking up to birdsong and ending the day around our fire pit under wide, dark skies.

Simple, serene, and exactly what we needed After a hectic few months, Foragers Rest was the perfect antidote. No loud music, no neon signs—just open fields, fresh air, and the gentle rustle of trees. The site is easy to find (Google Maps took us straight there), and our grass pitch had plenty of room for the tent and a small table. The toilets and washing-up area were spotless, and there’s a real sense that the owners care deeply about keeping things low-impact and peaceful.

A proper escape without the fuss No reception desk. No check-in queue. Just a text from the host with clear instructions of how to arrive. That’s the kind of simplicity you get at Foragers Rest—and it’s brilliant. Set in a quiet corner of rural Norfolk, the campsite feels private and unhurried. We saw hares at dusk and heard owls at night. Facilities are basic but immaculate, and the fire pit (with logs available to buy) made evenings extra special.
